Use Polymarket promo code RATE to get the current $50 trading bonus when you sign up and deposit at least $10. The offer is available to eligible new Polymarket US users and gives you promotional credit that can be used across sports, politics, crypto, economics and other markets in the app.

The important part is that the $50 is not cash you can immediately pull back out. It is promotional trading credit and needs to be used on Polymarket first. For a $10 deposit, that still gives you enough credit to actually try the platform rather than burning through the entire sign-up bonus on one small position.

The current Polymarket sign-up bonus is easy to understand on the surface, but I would not judge it only by the $50 headline. The useful comparison is how much of your own money you need to put in, what you have to do to qualify and what the promotional balance can actually be used for.

How to get the most from the Polymarket $50 sign-up bonus

For a $10 deposit, the Polymarket welcome bonus gives you enough promotional credit to use the platform for a while. That is the main reason I like the structure more than a $5 or $10 credit that disappears into one position.

If you are new to prediction markets, I would not put the full $50 into the first market that catches your eye. Polymarket has everything from NFL games and Fed decisions to elections, Bitcoin and pop-culture markets. Using a few smaller positions gives you a much better feel for how prices move and what happens when you want to sell before settlement.

Where the offer is less generous is withdrawals. The $50 is not a free $50 sitting in your cash balance. You have to use the promotional funds for trading, and what you end up with depends on how those positions work out. The current Polymarket welcome offer makes the most sense if you already want to try the platform, not if the only thing you want is a bonus you can cash out immediately.

How to use Polymarket promo code RATE

Open the Polymarket US app and make sure RATE is attached during registration before you deposit any money. I found the process pretty quick and was able to register and claim the $50 sign-up offer in a couple of minutes.

1. Sign up and enter RATE

With the app open, tap Sign Up and create your account. You can register using a Google or Apple account.

During signup, enter Polymarket promo code RATE when the promotional or referral-code field appears. Check that RATE is attached to the new-user offer before moving on. If the code isn’t showing correctly, don’t make the qualifying deposit yet.

2. Complete your account details and verification

Enter your username, full legal name, date of birth and residential address.

Polymarket also requires identity verification before you can trade. Have a government-issued ID ready, such as a driver’s license or passport, as Polymarket will ask for a photo of the ID along with a selfie to confirm your identity.

Once verification is approved, you can move on to funding the account.

3. Deposit at least $10

Make the $10 minimum qualifying deposit for the current Polymarket sign-up bonus.

Polymarket US supports funding methods including debit card, ACH bank transfer and wire transfer, so you can choose whichever makes the most sense for you. Some deposits may become available as buying power before the payment has fully cleared for withdrawal.

Check the RATE offer shown in the app before depositing. Promotional terms can change, and you want to know exactly what qualifying action is attached to your account rather than assuming an older version of the offer still applies.

4. Check that the $50 bonus has been added

After you complete the current promo requirements, check your account for the $50 promotional trading credit before placing a trade.

The bonus is trading credit rather than $50 of cash you can immediately withdraw, so treat it separately from your own deposit. Once the promotional balance appears, you can split it across eligible Polymarket markets rather than putting the full amount into one position.

If the $50 credit doesn’t appear when expected, contact Polymarket support before depositing more money or making additional trades.

  • Minimum deposit: You need to deposit at least $10.
  • Qualifying activity: Complete any qualifying action shown with the RATE offer during signup.
  • Trading credit: The $50 is promotional credit, not immediately withdrawable cash.

Latest Polymarket app updates

Sept. 19–20: Polymarket is running a zero-fee promotion on eligible NFL and college football markets this weekend. Sept. 18: Polymarket began rolling out 15-minute Bitcoin Up or Down markets, giving users a much faster crypto market than the longer-duration contracts Polymarket is better known for.

Sept. 16: The 2026 Midterms Hub added a dedicated place for House, Senate and governor races, along with state and district maps and control-of-Congress markets.

Sept. 8: Squads launched in the Polymarket US app, adding private groups where friends can discuss markets, share trades and follow positions together.

Polymarket has gone well beyond simple Yes/No questions about elections. Sports now includes many of the same markets people would recognize from a sportsbook, while politics, economics, crypto and breaking-news contracts cover a much wider range of outcomes.

NFL and other sports: You can trade individual games using moneylines, spreads and totals, along with season-long markets such as the Super Bowl winner, division races and NFL MVP. Polymarket has also expanded into player props, where the contract can be tied to an individual player’s yards, points, touchdowns, strikeouts or other stats. Its sports coverage widened again in August as Polymarket added official data and coverage across more than 20 leagues and competitions.

Elections and politics: Political markets range from control of the House or Senate to presidential nominations, individual races and other government outcomes. Polymarket added a dedicated 2026 Midterms Hub in September, bringing congressional-control markets, individual races and state and district maps into one place.

Fed and economic markets: The economics section covers Fed rate decisions, inflation, employment, recession expectations, consumer spending and energy. A typical contract might ask what the Fed will do at its next meeting or whether the US enters a recession during a specific period. These markets tend to move quickly when CPI, jobs data or Fed comments hit.

Bitcoin and crypto: Crypto markets are not limited to long-term price targets. Polymarket recently added 15-minute Bitcoin Up or Down markets, where each contract asks whether Bitcoin will finish the 15-minute window above or below its starting price. There are also longer-duration markets asking whether Bitcoin or another asset will reach a particular price by a set date.

Movies, music and pop culture: You can trade outcomes such as the highest-grossing movie of the year, awards like the Oscars, television, music, video games and celebrity-related events. Polymarket has also been expanding the types of entertainment contracts available, rather than limiting the category to awards markets.

Companies, AI and technology: Polymarket lists markets around company valuations, CEOs, layoffs, product launches, AI, space and other technology events. These sit somewhere between financial forecasting and news trading, and can move sharply when a company announcement or earnings update lands.

World events, weather and health: There are also contracts around foreign elections, international politics, weather, temperatures, natural disasters and health events. These are usually more event-specific, so the contract wording and resolution source matter a lot more than the category name itself.

Polymarket Combos

Polymarket Combos let you put several sports outcomes into one trade. Every leg has to resolve in your favor for the Combo to win, so the basic idea will look familiar if you have used a sportsbook parlay, even though Polymarket packages it as a multi-leg event contract.

The feature moved from beta into the Polymarket US app ahead of the football season and traders started using it quickly. DeFi Rate’s analysis of Polymarket US daily reports found Combo volume rose from $2.46 million, or 1.7% of exchange volume, on Aug. 16 to $33.03 million, or 27.7%, by Aug. 21. It stayed above $30 million on each of the next two reporting days.

You build a Combo by choosing several eligible sports outcomes and putting them into one position. The payout increases as you add legs because the probability of every selection winning gets smaller. One wrong leg loses the entire Combo.

That growth is why I would treat Combos as more than a small feature buried inside the sports tab. Within days of the broader rollout, multi-leg trading had become a meaningful share of Polymarket US activity.

If you are using the Polymarket $50 sign-up bonus for your first trades, I would understand the individual markets before putting a large part of the promotional credit into one multi-leg Combo. The bigger potential payout also comes with a much lower chance of every leg resolving your way.

Polymarket sign-up bonus vs other prediction market offers

The current Polymarket signup bonus is one of the larger prediction-market welcome offers, but the headline number is not the only thing worth comparing. Some platforms require more money up front, some require a trade before the reward appears, and the markets available on each exchange can be quite different.

For the current Polymarket welcome offer, the useful number is simple: a $10 minimum deposit is tied to $50 in promotional credit. That is $5 in promotional credit for every $1 required in the minimum deposit, although it should not be read as a 500% investment return or $60 of withdrawable cash.

Polymarket promo code vs referral code

Polymarket promo code RATE and Polymarket’s referral program are separate. If you are opening an account through DeFi Rate and want the current $50 offer, RATE is the code to use. If you already have a Polymarket account and want to invite somebody else, that is handled through Polymarket’s refer-a-friend program instead.

Polymarket promos and bonuses for existing users

The $50 Polymarket sign-up bonus is for new accounts, but there are still ways to earn promotional credits and rebates once you are already using Polymarket.

The current Polymarket Refer-A-Friend Incentive Program lets an existing user share a unique referral code with a new user. If that friend completes onboarding and makes the qualifying $10 deposit, both sides currently receive $50 in promotional trading credit.

The current program limits each participant to 50 friend referrals, giving the referrer a potential maximum of $2,500 in promotional trading credits if all 50 referrals qualify. Referral campaigns can change, so the amount and cap shown in the app and current program terms should be treated as live.

Polymarket also rewards more active traders through its fee and liquidity programs.

  • Maker rebates: If you place a limit order that rests on the order book and another trader later matches it, the current fee schedule pays a maker rebate. Around a 50-cent contract price, 100 filled contracts earn roughly 31 cents back.
  • Taker rebates: High-volume traders can earn part of their taker fees back based on prior-month taker volume. Current tiers are 10% back from $250,000 in monthly volume, 25% from $1 million and 50% from $10 million, with rebates paid weekly.
  • Liquidity incentives: Polymarket also runs programs that reward qualifying resting orders for adding depth to selected markets. Reward pools and eligibility vary by market, so the app or market page is the best place to see what is active.

These programs are separate from the one-time Polymarket sign-up bonus. RATE is meant for your first account; referral credits, maker rebates and liquidity incentives become more relevant after you are already using the platform regularly.

Using the Polymarket US app

For US users, the mobile app is the main Polymarket product. You can create the account, enter Polymarket promo code RATE, fund it, find markets and manage positions from the same place.

The home screen is built around discovery, with live and trending markets surfaced near the top and categories making it easy to move between sports, politics, economics, crypto and other events. Once you have a position open, you can watch the market price change and sell before settlement rather than waiting for the event to resolve.

Polymarket also promotes LiveTrade for sports, which lets users enter and exit positions as the game or event is happening. Push notifications and open-position tracking are useful here because the price of an event contract can move quickly after an injury, score, poll, economic release or other new information.

The iPhone app currently holds a 4.6/5 rating from roughly 59,000 ratings in the US App Store. Polymarket’s own help material still describes Android as coming soon, so I would not label the US app as fully available on Android until that changes.

The app itself has also been changing quickly. Recent additions include Squads, the 2026 Midterms Hub, short-duration Bitcoin markets and expanded sports products, so this is one area of the page worth keeping current rather than treating the app as a static feature list.

What I like about Polymarket US

The breadth of the market list is what makes the Polymarket welcome bonus useful. You can open the app for an NFL game and then end up looking at the Fed, an election or Bitcoin five minutes later. That has always been a big part of Polymarket’s appeal, and the US product is building out that same mix.

I also like being able to get out of a position before the underlying event settles. If you buy Yes at 40 cents and the market moves to 65 cents, you do not necessarily need to sit there until resolution. You can sell if there is liquidity on the other side.

That flexibility makes the platform more interesting than a straight fixed-odds bet, but it also adds a learning curve. The price on screen is not a guarantee that a large order will fill entirely at that level. You still need to pay attention to the order book and how much liquidity is available.

What I’d watch

Market availability can change quickly, especially around sports event contracts. Regulators in several states continue to challenge prediction-market operators, while the exchanges argue that federally regulated event contracts fall under federal commodities law.

That does not mean the whole platform is suddenly unavailable nationwide, but it does mean state access and individual contract availability can change. Check the current availability table before depositing rather than relying on an old state count.

How Polymarket works

Polymarket prices event contracts between $0 and $1. If a Yes contract is trading at 60 cents, the market is broadly pricing that outcome at about 60%. Buy 100 contracts at 60 cents and the position costs $60. If Yes ultimately settles at $1, the contracts are worth $100. If the market settles No, those Yes contracts are worth $0.

You can also sell before settlement if another trader is willing to take the other side. That is where liquidity matters. A displayed price can look attractive, but if there is not much size available at that level, a larger order may fill at several different prices.

For more on the mechanics, see our guide to how prediction markets work.

Polymarket fees and liquidity

Polymarket US uses an exchange-style fee model, so what you pay depends on whether you take liquidity from the order book or add it.

A taker trades against an order already available in the market. A maker places an order that sits on the book until another trader matches it.

The current US taker fee follows a price-based formula and is highest around contracts trading near 50 cents. At 50 cents, the fee tops out at about $1.74 per 100 contracts. Makers get the opposite treatment: a filled maker order at the same price earns roughly 31 cents back per 100 contracts.

Very active takers can also qualify for monthly-volume rebates. The current tiers return 10% of eligible taker fees from $250,000 in prior-month taker volume, 25% from $1 million and 50% from $10 million, paid weekly.

That also helps explain why a zero-fee promotion can matter. If you claim the $50 sign-up bonus with Polymarket promo code RATE during an eligible zero-fee period, you can use the promotional credit on covered markets without paying the normal taker fee during the promotion.

The fee is only part of the cost of a trade. The bid, ask and spread show what other traders are actually willing to buy and sell at, while the order-book depth tells you how much you can trade before your average price starts moving. A busy NFL market may have plenty of liquidity around the displayed price; a niche politics or entertainment contract can be noticeably thinner.

Polymarket deposits and withdrawals

You only need a $10 qualifying deposit for the current Polymarket sign-up offer, but there is a difference between money being available to trade and the deposit being fully cleared for withdrawal.

Polymarket US supports standard US funding rails including debit card, ACH bank transfer and wire transfer. Debit-card and ACH deposits can show as buying power before the underlying payment has fully cleared, which means you may be able to trade the money before you can withdraw it again.

Funding methodDepositTypical clearingWithdrawal note
Debit cardYesAbout 3–4 business daysFunds must clear before withdrawal
ACH bank transferYesAbout 3–4 business daysFunds must clear before withdrawal
Wire transferYesAbout 1 business dayBest suited to larger transfers

Withdrawals generally return to the original funding source rather than letting you route a recent deposit to an unrelated account. If you fund the account from more than one source, Polymarket can apply first-in, first-out rules based on the order of the deposits.

The $50 Polymarket bonus is different from your own cleared deposit. Promotional credit has to be used according to the offer terms, so seeing $50 in promo credit is not the same as having another $50 of cleared cash ready to withdraw.

Polymarket customer support

If you run into a problem with RATE, a deposit or your account verification, Polymarket US lists in-app chat and email support at [email protected]. Its public help material does not list a general customer-service phone line.

I would use the in-app chat first for anything tied to a specific account because you are already signed in and can explain exactly where the issue occurred. Email makes more sense if you need to send a longer explanation or keep a written record of the problem.

Polymarket also maintains a Help Center covering account setup, trading, deposits, withdrawals and common product questions. If your Polymarket promo code does not appear to be attached to your account, contact support before making the qualifying deposit rather than assuming the bonus can be added afterward.

Polymarket vs Kalshi

Polymarket and Kalshi are close competitors. Both serve US prediction-market users, both offer event contracts, and both cover far more than one category.

The choice comes down more to the specific markets you want, liquidity, price and product experience than the sign-up offer alone. The current Polymarket bonus code RATE is available to eligible new users, but a larger welcome bonus matters less if the market you actually want has better liquidity or pricing somewhere else.

For a deeper breakdown, see our Polymarket vs Kalshi comparison.

Polymarket US operates as a federally regulated prediction-market exchange, but the legal picture around individual event contracts is still developing. Several states have challenged sports prediction contracts and argued that they fall under state gambling laws. Prediction-market operators have taken the opposite position, arguing that federally regulated event contracts fall under federal commodities law. Those disputes are still being fought in courts and regulatory proceedings.

Where is Polymarket US currently available?

Platform access, individual contract availability and promotional eligibility can vary by jurisdiction. Use the current state checker above rather than relying on an old claim about nationwide availability. See our prediction-market legal tracker for current state challenges and court cases.

Polymarket promo code FAQ

Can I add a Polymarket promo code after I sign up?

Enter Polymarket promo code RATE during signup. I would not finish registration assuming the promotion can be added later, because eligibility is normally attached when the new account is created.

Where do I enter the Polymarket promo code?

Enter RATE in the referral or promo-code field during the Polymarket US signup flow. The wording can be confusing because Polymarket also runs a separate refer-a-friend program.

How do I find my own Polymarket referral code?

If you already have an account and want to invite someone, your personal referral information is inside Polymarket’s referral or invite area. That is separate from RATE, which is the DeFi Rate code for the current Polymarket new-user bonus.

Can I use RATE if I already have a Polymarket account?

No. RATE is meant for eligible new accounts, so there is not a separate Polymarket promo code for existing users. Existing users should look at Polymarket’s current referral bonus, maker rebates or other trading incentives instead.

How long does the Polymarket sign-up bonus take to arrive?

The welcome bonus should appear after you complete the current offer requirements. Check that the promotional credit is in your account before trading; if it has not appeared, contact Polymarket support before using your own funds.

What happens if my trade with the $50 bonus loses?

That portion of the promotional credit is gone. The bonus gives you additional money to trade with; it does not protect you from losses or guarantee that you will finish with $50.

Can I split the $50 Polymarket bonus across several markets?

Yes, assuming the markets are eligible. You do not need to put the entire promotional balance into one position, which is probably the better way to learn the platform if you are new to prediction markets.

Can I use the Polymarket bonus on NFL, election or Fed markets?

You can use the promotional balance on eligible markets available to your account. The exact market list changes constantly, so the live table above is more useful than maintaining a static list here.

Why is a Polymarket market not showing in my account?

Market availability can differ by jurisdiction and product. A contract you see discussed online may not necessarily be available through your Polymarket US account where you live.

What happens if Polymarket promo code RATE does not show the $50 offer during signup?

Do not deposit first and sort it out afterward. Confirm that RATE and the current Polymarket sign-up offer are attached to the account before completing the qualifying deposit.

Do I need a Polymarket invite code or waitlist code?

No separate invite code is needed to claim the current DeFi Rate offer. Enter Polymarket promo code RATE during signup if you want the current $50 new-user bonus. Older Polymarket US rollout pages and discussion threads still refer to invite codes, access codes and waitlist codes, which is why those terms continue to show up in search.

Is RATE a special access code?

RATE is a promotional code, not a special code that bypasses account eligibility or location restrictions.

Do old Polymarket bonus codes like FREE20 or FREE50 still work?

Polymarket has changed its new-user promotions several times, so older codes and bonus amounts still appear in search. You may still see phrases such as Polymarket free 20, FREE20, Polymarket free 50 or FREE50 attached to older offers. The current DeFi Rate offer uses Polymarket promo code RATE for a $50 trading bonus. The current code RATE is active for September 21, 2026. If the Polymarket offer changes, we will update.

Use the code attached to the current offer rather than relying on an older promo page. The current RATE offer is not a Polymarket no-deposit bonus; it requires the qualifying deposit shown above. Bonus amounts, deposit requirements, eligibility and expiry rules can all change between campaigns.
