What combat sports prediction markets can you trade?
Available contracts change by event and platform. Common UFC, MMA and boxing prediction markets include:
- Fight winner: Trade on which fighter will win the matchup.
- Method of victory: Contracts can cover knockout or TKO, submission, decision and other official results.
- Fight to go the distance: Trade on whether the bout reaches the final bell.
- Round markets: Trade on a specific finishing round or whether the fight lasts beyond a listed round.
- Event and title futures: Longer-term contracts may cover future champions, titleholders or scheduled cards.
The matchup board above focuses on full-fight winner markets so prices can be compared on a consistent basis. Always review the individual market rules for draws, technical draws, cancellations, no contests and rescheduled bouts.
How UFC and boxing prediction market odds work
A prediction market contract represents a position on a specific result. Contracts are commonly priced between $0 and $1, and the price can be read as the market’s implied probability. A fighter trading at $0.62 has a roughly 62% market-implied chance of winning.
In a standard winner market, a correct contract settles at $1 and the losing side settles at $0. Traders may also be able to sell before the market closes if an order can be matched. Prices can move quickly after weigh-ins, injuries, opponent changes and other fight-week news.
Combat sports prediction markets vs. sportsbooks
Sportsbooks set betting lines and include a margin in their odds. Prediction markets use contracts traded between participants, with costs typically appearing through fees and bid-ask spreads. Both can offer fight-winner and prop markets, but the available selections and pricing may differ.
Prediction markets may allow traders to exit a position before settlement, while sportsbook bets generally remain open until graded. Compare the effective price, fees, liquidity and market rules rather than relying only on the displayed probability.
How UFC, MMA and boxing markets resolve
Fight-winner markets generally resolve from the official result issued by the promotion or the relevant athletic commission. A fighter declared the winner settles as the winning outcome under the contract rules.
Draws, technical draws, no contests, cancellations and rescheduled fights may be handled differently by each platform. Some markets refund or settle at a neutral value, while others remain open when a bout moves within a specified window. Read the market’s resolution criteria before trading.
