Colts vs. Chiefs prediction market preview

Patrick Mahomes is playing his way back to form after suffering a season-ending knee injury last season. Mahomes showed some rust in the season-opening 31-10 win over the Broncos, finishing with just 184 passing yards. He did throw for two touchdowns.

Kenneth Walker III made the most of his Kansas City debut, rushing for 173 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Walker could be in line for another big game against an Indy defense that yielded 144 rushing yards and three TDs to Baltimore’s Derrick Henry in a 41-23 loss in Week 1.

Indianapolis QB Daniel Jones struggled in that game, finishing with 166 passing yards, the lowest amount in any game he’s played for the Colts. When the Chiefs and Colts met in Week 12 last season, Steve Spagnuolo’s defense limited Jones to 181 passing yards. He tossed a pair of TDs in the 23-20 overtime loss.

Indianapolis will need to establish the running game with Jonathan Taylor, who remains one of the league’s top running backs. Taylor rushed for 98 yards and two TDs in the season opener.

The game script calls for a heavy dose of running for both teams. With the clock potentially ticking more often, Kalshi’s pricing leans toward the under 46.5 points scored in this contest.
