USA vs. Germany
- Date: June 6, 2026
- Time: 2:30 p.m. ET
- Location: Soldier Field in Chicago, IL
- Broadcast: TBS, HBO Max, Peacock
- Kalshi: USA (21%), Germany (60%), Tie (22%)
This game will give USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino a crucial opportunity to run the rule over his players before the World Cup. It will be fascinating to see how they perform against an elite European team in the build-up to the tournament.
Team USA struggled in the last round of international matches, losing 5-2 to Belgium and 2-0 to Portugal a couple of months ago. However, they bounced back with a 3-2 win against Senegal last weekend, which should boost the team’s morale.
PSV striker Ricardo Pepi started up front against Senegal, flanked by Sergiño Dest and Christian Pulisic. Dest usually plays as a right-back, but he looked dangerous in attack, and he opened the scoring for the USMNT. Pulisic then doubled their advantage, breaking a 21-game goal drought. Former Liverpool striker Sadio Mané scored twice for Senegal, but Folarin Balogun – who replaced Pepi at half-time – fired in the winner.
Balogun has been in fine form for Monaco this season, so Pochettino may give him a chance to start this game. The likes of Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie also came on at half-time against Senegal, so they could play from the start against Germany. It’s the USMNT’s final pre-tournament friendly, so it will give Pochettino one last chance to settle on his best starting XI.
Germany thumped Finland 4-0 at the weekend, despite resting several key players. Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz were both on target, while striker Deniz Undav also scored twice. Kai Havertz, who scored crucial goals for Arsenal in the closing weeks of the season, may be trusted to start up front in this game ahead of Undav.
A standout performance for either Germany or the USA could lead to price moves in their respective World Cup markets. In current pricing for World Cup Round of 32 qualifiers, Germany is priced at a near-certainty level, trading for 96%, with the USA listed at 84%.
Brazil vs. Egypt
- Date: June 6, 2026
- Time: 6 p.m. ET
- Location: Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, OH
- Broadcast: ESPN Unlimited
- Kalshi: Brazil (75%), Egypt (11%), Tie (17%)
Brazil thrashed Panama 6-2 in a pre-tournament friendly on Sunday. Vinícius Júnior, Casemiro, Rayan, Lucas Paquetá, Igor Thiago, and Danilo all scored in that game. The Seleção looked vulnerable in defense, but their attack is formidable.
Now Brazil will take on Egypt at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on Saturday. The game will give manager Carlo Ancelotti one final chance to decide his best attacking lineup before the World Cup.
Brazil will face Morocco in its opening World Cup game, so it will be interesting to see how it performs against another strong North African team. The game also makes sense for Egypt, which needs to prepare for an onslaught from Belgium’s elite attackers in its World Cup opener.
The Pharaohs beat Russia 1-0 at the end of May, but they were missing star player Mohamed Salah. He recently recovered from an injury, so fans will be keen to see what sort of shape he’s in. Brazil is the heavy favorite, but Egypt has a stout defense, so the Seleção’s forwards will need to be at their best on Saturday.
In World Cup group stage markets, Brazil is favored to win Group C at 73% on Kalshi, ahead of Morocco at 20%. Egypt is the second-priced option to win Group G at 18%, behind Belgium at 68%.
Morocco vs. Norway
- Date: June 7, 2026
- Time: 3 p.m. ET
- Location: Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ
- Broadcast: ESPN Unlimited
This game will showcase an intriguing clash of styles. Morocco is extremely strong in defense, having conceded just three goals in its last 10 matches. The Atlas Lions went all the way to the semifinals of the last World Cup – the best performance by an African team in the tournament’s history – and they’ll be keen to go even deeper this time around.
Norway’s defense looks a little flimsy, but the squad is stacked with elite attackers. Goal machine Erling Haaland will lead the line after enjoying another extremely prolific season for Man City. Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard is Norway’s creator-in-chief, while the likes of Alexander Sørloth and Antonio Nusa provide extra firepower.
Morocco will face Brazil in its World Cup group, so this game will give the defenders a great opportunity to test themselves against dangerous forwards. Norway will take on Senegal – another strong African team – so this game will offer an insight into how well-prepared the Norwegians are.
In World Cup Round of 16 qualifier markets, both teams are priced in the middle of the pack to advance. Norway is priced at 53%, with Morocco at 44%. For perspective, tournament favorites Spain (86%) and France (84%) are viewed as locks to hit that stage of the tournament.
Other Games to Watch
There are lots more noteworthy games taking place across North America this weekend. Here are the biggest matches to look out for:
- England vs. New Zealand, June 6: The Three Lions should be far too strong for New Zealand, but it will be interesting to see who starts alongside Harry Kane in attack – Jude Bellingham or Morgan Rogers, Marcus Rashford or Anthony Gordon?
- Belgium vs. Tunisia, June 6: This interesting game pits a high-scoring European heavyweight against a well-drilled North African team. Belgium will face Egypt at the World Cup, while Tunisia will take on the Netherlands and Sweden.
- Australia vs. Switzerland, June 6: The Swiss are the favorites to win Group B, which also features Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Qatar. Soccer fans will be keen to see how they perform against Australia, which is in the same group as the USMNT.
- Portugal vs. Chile, June 6: Portugal has built up a lot of momentum in the World Cup futures markets on Kalshi and Polymarket in recent weeks. Traders will be watching this game closely to see how Roberto Martinez’s men perform against a tough Chilean defense.
- Argentina vs. Honduras, June 6: Argentina should steamroll Honduras in this match, but it’s still a good tune-up opportunity. La Albiceleste is heavily favored to win this game.
- Croatia vs. Slovenia, June 7: Croatia will ramp up its World Cup preparations with a friendly against Slovenia, which didn’t qualify for the tournament. The Croats were runners-up in 2018. They finished third at the 2022 World Cup, so you can’t write off their chances this summer.
- Ecuador vs. Guatemala, June 7: Ecuador is up against Ivory Coast, Curaçao, and Germany in Group E at the World Cup. A friendly against Guatemala at Scotts Miracle-Gro Field in Columbus gives the team a chance to earn a morale-boosting win before the group stage gets underway.
