Colombia vs. Ghana World Cup preview

Los Cafeteros (the Coffee Growers) won Group K after going 2-1, including a scoreless draw against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal, which helped Colombia clinch the top spot. Colombia picked up wins over Congo DR, 1-0, and Uzbekistan, 3-1. Daniel Munoz leads the South American squad with two goals. This is Colombia’s seventh World Cup appearance and first since 2018, when they made the Round of 16.  

This is Ghana’s fifth time playing in the global soccer showcase. The Black Stars are one of the eight third-place teams to qualify for the Round of 32. Ghana went 1-1-1 in group stage play, with highlights including a scoreless draw against England and a 1-0 victory over Panama.
