2026 Masters Winner Predictions: Scott Scheffler Favorite

Scott Scheffler is the favorite to win the 2026 Masters at prediction markets with a 13.5% implied probability on both Kalshi and Polymarket. Jon Rahm trades at 7.8% and Bryson DeChambeau at 7.2%, with defending champion Rory McIlroy close behind at 6.5%. The Masters winner contract has generated more than $10.4M in trading volume, aggregated from Kalshi and Polymarket. The 90th Masters Tournament runs April 9–12 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, and settles after the final round concludes. Early weather forecast: The current forecast is calling for high temperatures in the 70s for Thursday and Friday, rising into the 80s over the weekend. No precipitation is expected, with the biggest potential wind impact coming in the first round, with gusts up to 20 mph.
Scheffler clear favorite: As the Masters week begins, Scottie Scheffler remains the clear favorite to win the tournament. He’s trading for 14% at both Kalshi and Polymarket. Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau are battling for second place, with both trading at 8% on the leading platforms.

2026 Masters betting favorites

Scottie Scheffler enters the 2026 Masters as the clear favorite at prediction markets, but the field behind him is deep. There are several compelling storylines to follow as the world’s best get set to tee off at Augusta National on Thursday, April 9. Scheffler is chasing his third green jacket in five years.

Rory McIlroy is attempting to become the first back-to-back champion since Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002. In recent years, most champions have come from the +1,000 to +3,000 range in odds. That’s equivalent to roughly 5-9% implied probability. This year’s field features several intriguing options for prediction market traders to consider, beyond the headline favorites.

Scottie Scheffler’s odds to win the Masters

Scottie Scheffler is the clear favorite at prediction markets, trading at 14% on both Kalshi and Polymarket. He won the Masters in 2022 and 2024, and has finished in the top five in three of his last four Masters starts. Scheffler withdrew from both the Houston Open and the Valero Texas Open to be present for the birth of his second child.

Traders have nudged his probability down slightly from 16% last week, but he remains the clear favorite at both platforms. He opened this season with a win at The American Express and followed with two straight top-five finishes. For his last three, he has finished in a tie for 24th or better, including a tie for 22nd place at The Players Championship in March.

Jon Rahm’s chances at Augusta National

Jon Rahm enters the 2026 Masters trading at 8% on both Kalshi and Polymarket. He won this tournament in 2023, coming from two shots behind entering the final round to win by four shots over Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson.

Since joining LIV Golf, Rahm has maintained his form and continued to compete at the highest level in the majors. He finished in a tie for 14th at last season’s Masters. In LIV play this year, he has finished in the top five at all five events, winning once.

Bryson DeChambeau’s Masters odds

Bryson DeChambeau is trading at 8% on Polymarket and 7% on Kalshi. He finished T-5 at the 2025 Masters after entering Sunday in second place, only to shoot 3-over in the final round and fall short of a breakthrough.

He arrives in strong form after victories at LIV Golf Singapore and South Africa in March 2026. DeChambeau’s power game is tailor-made for Augusta’s par fives, and his short game has improved markedly in recent seasons.

Rory McIlroy’s odds to repeat as Masters Champion

Rory McIlroy enters as the defending champion, trading at 7% on both Kalshi and Polymarket. His 2025 Masters victory completed the career Grand Slam, but he enters this edition with lingering injury concerns that have clouded his forecast.

A back injury forced him to withdraw from the Arnold Palmer Invitational after two rounds, and he finished T46 at the Players Championship. He is expected to tee it up on Thursday, but his physical condition will be closely monitored throughout the week.

Ludvig Aberg’s odds to win a Green Jacket

Ludvig Aberg is trading at 5% on Polymarket and 6% on Kalshi. He finished runner-up at the 2024 Masters, four strokes behind the winner. At last year’s edition, he finished in 7th place, carding a -6 to finish five strokes off the lead.

He arrives this year in exceptional form, finishing in the top five at his last three events. Aberg finished T-3 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T-5 at the Players Championship, and T-5 at the Valero Texas Open.

Other Masters betting favorites

Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young, Tommy Fleetwood, and Matt Fitzpatrick round out the next tier, with each trading between 4% and 6% across both platforms. Schauffele is a two-time major winner in 2024 (PGA Championship and The Open Championship) who has yet to break through at Augusta, finishing in the Top 10 at the last three editions.

Young (4%) arrives on the back of his 2026 Players Championship win, while Fleetwood (4%) has been one of the most consistent performers on tour over the past two seasons. Fitzpatrick rounds out the group at 4% on Polymarket and 5% on Kalshi. Probabilities will continue to evolve as we count down to the first tee on Thursday.

Masters prediction markets

Kalshi and Polymarket offer a wide range of Masters markets beyond picking the winner. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s available.

Tournament winner

The flagship Masters contract at both platforms. Kalshi lists it as “The Masters – Winner,” and Polymarket calls it “The Masters Tournament Champion.” You buy yes or no contracts on any player in the field, priced between $0.01 and $0.99.

If your player wins, the contract settles at $1. You can also sell your position at any point during the tournament. For example, if your selection surges on Saturday, you can lock in a profit before Sunday’s final round.

Top 5, top 10, and top 20 finishers

You can trade on finishing position markets for the top 5, top 10, and top 20 finishers. It’s a lower-variance alternative to picking the outright winner among the favorites, but the potential return is also lower due to the higher probability. Each contract follows the same yes/no structure and settles on official tournament results.

Make the Cut

A yes/no contract on whether a player survives the 36-hole cut. The 2026 Masters cut includes the top 50 players and ties. Straightforward and useful if you have a strong view on a player’s form without needing to predict their finishing position.

Winner contracts: If a player wins the Masters Tournament, the market resolves to “Yes” and settles at $1.
Criteria: Kalshi uses Fox Sports, ESPN, and The Wall Street Journal as resolution sources. Polymarket uses the official PGA Tour website and The Masters website, with a consensus of credible reporting as backup.
Withdrawals: If a golfer forfeits, withdraws, or does not participate before teeing off, Tournament Winner and End of Round Leader markets resolve to No on Kalshi. Finishing Position, Make the Cut, Head-to-Head, and 3-Ball markets resolve to Fair Market Value.
Playoffs: The winner is determined by the official Masters champion, regardless of whether a playoff is required. If your player wins in sudden death, the contract pays out in full.
Cancellation clause: If no winner is announced by December 31, 2026, the market resolves to “Other” at Polymarket. Kalshi follows a similar framework for incomplete events.
