Which states can claim the RATE bonus
The Kalshi promo code is available in California, Florida, and Texas, plus 36 more states and Washington DC. Kalshi itself is legal in every state except Nevada. It holds a CFTC license as a Designated Contract Market. That puts its baseball contracts under federal commodities law rather than state gambling law.

Where to put your bonus before the deadline
Skubal is at 51¢, the closest thing to a coin flip on the board. Detroit looked like an obvious seller two months ago. The Tigers have gone 25-15 since June 1 and now sit four and a half games out of a wild card spot.
That run changed the calculation. ESPN reports that rival executives increasingly expect Detroit to keep him and chase a playoff spot. Skubal is still a pending free agent and a back-to-back AL Cy Young winner, so a bad week resets the whole market.
The Dodgers are the landing spot if Detroit does sell. The same report has rival evaluators rating Los Angeles as Detroit’s strongest trade partner for a deal of that size.
Arraez is at 88¢ and close to settled. San Francisco is 42-60 and guaranteed to sell. He is a pending free agent hitting .326, and the Giants have not opened extension talks.
The destination is the live question. Arraez has ruled out playing anywhere other than second. That narrows the field, and Texas keeps coming up as the fit.
Joe Ryan is the third arm on the board and the hardest to price. He is 6-6 with a 3.38 ERA over 21 starts, makes $6.1 million, and is controlled through 2027, which is exactly the profile contenders overpay for. Minnesota was tied for the final wild card at the break and then lost four straight. Chairman Tom Pohlad has said he has no appetite for a full rebuild, so moving Ryan would signal a teardown the Twins say they do not want. The Braves, Cubs, and Red Sox have all been connected.
Today’s MLB slate gives you a handful of games to clear the Kalshi bonus. The Dodgers are priced at 59¢ against the Mets at 1:40 p.m. ET, a buyer against a club already selling off Clay Holmes and Freddy Peralta. Is it worth claiming
Yes, if you want in on the trade deadline and a shot at the top of the variable offer. Deadline contracts run for just over a week, so there is room to open a position, let a report move it, and exit before Monday. Kalshi carries the deepest sports liquidity of the regulated exchanges. That lets you sell into news instead of holding to resolution. The platform also pays 3.75% APY on cash and open positions once your balance clears $250.
The $500 is the wrong reason to sign up. Kalshi hands 70% of new accounts the $15 version, and FanDuel Predicts pays a flat $25 with no deposit and no trading requirement at all. Open the Kalshi account for the deadline board. The bonus is a small extra on top of it.
