DeFi Investment Trends for September 2020

DeFi investments are hotter than ever. With dozens of rounds closing behind closed doors, September will be a month of shipping for many of the industry’s best-kept secrets. However, the time for VCs to get in early could be coming to an end.

With the advent of Fair Launch Capital, many teams are now opting to skip the funding and go straight to market. As security audits become more affordable for early teams through grants and community support, it’s fascinating to consider what the next YFI – a successful token largely due to foraging any formal investment – might look like.

Coming back to reality, VC’s are eager for new opportunities, and Fall looks to be the quarter of AMM’s, better known as “Uniswap Killers”.
